Board Meetings2022 Annual Meeting Notice & Voting
The Board of Directors of The Fund for the Diaconate of The Episcopal Church is pleased to invite you to the annual meeting of the members* of the Fund on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 7:00 pm ET. (*A member is defined in the Fund bylaws as “all deacons in The Episcopal Church, and in good standing, who have not been further ordained.”) The meeting will be held virtually and the agenda will be available by September 1. If you wish to attend, please RSVP no later than Thursday, September 29 to President Keith McCoy so that we may send you the Zoom link. If you are not able to join the annual meeting and voting, please take part in our online election so that your vote as a member can be counted. Online vs Paper You may switch from postal mail to email, or email to postal mail, at any time. Please contact President Keith McCoy to change your preferences. The Board of the Fund meets three times a year, in addition to special meetings (held virtually) as needed. There is an annual membership meeting each Fall, to which all deacons are invited. Specific dates and locations are listed on this page.
Board meetings are held in New York City, where the Fund is incorporated, typically at The Episcopal Church (TEC) offices at 815 Second Avenue, or at Church Pension Group offices on East 34th Street. Members are invited to attend all meetings, although you should let the president know in advance, so you can be listed as an attendee with building security. Discussions of grants to individuals will be held in closed session. The Board has a variety of committees and task forces, which include deacons who are not board members. Appointments are made at the January board meeting. Persons interested in serving on a committee should review the description of each committee here, and then send a note of interest, including any information that would explain why you would be a contributor to the committee’s work, to our president Deacon Keith McCoy.
